Due to great fundraising efforts, player contribution is only $100 this year, and is payable here.

Player Payment Status:

The blizzard and rain has us a little behind. That coupled with home games earlier in the season means we need to get to work. “Official” work day will be 2/28, but Coach Clark will be working at the field this Saturday 2/21, so the gate will be open. Anyone who wants to come lend a hand doing whatever on the list you feel led to do, can come and do it!

Here are the planned work activities:

1. General “yard” maintenance. Leaf/pine needle removal. Field and spectator areas.
2. Trim hedges and shrubs particularly along/behind the outfield fence. (Small branches poking into sponsor banners, need cut out) Bring appropriate tools. Blowers, trimmers, rakes, yard saws, gloves, etc.
3. Pressure Washing!
4. Cleanup press box inside
5. Cleanup concession stand inside
6. Application of field conditioner and mound clay.
7. Rebuild third base fence with doors to access new bullpen. If you have the skills, please come check out the project this week to possibly complete the following week.

 

BBQ sale Fundraiser

The results are in!

$4430 Profit with 11 butts and 5 bologna delivered to RIFA!

While overall profit was lower than last year by about 13% due to increased meat prices and fewer sales, we still had a great turnout. We cooked 131 butts and 54 sticks of bologna!

Top 3 sellers were Conner Puckett, Brock Browning’s Nana and Mason Putnam’s dad! Freshman Walker Blair came in at a close 4th spot! Great work everyone!

Special thank you to Brandon Browning for cooking and Casey (and Allen) Meek for donating and delivering all the firewood!

A BIG shout out to all the parents who came out to help this year especially those who stayed overnight! Each year keeps getting better!

We had a good turnout of players answering the call for extra unscheduled help too! That was really appreciated, you know who you are!

Stang Gang Car Wash Fundraiser

9am-1:30pm (First Shift Players arrive at 8:47am)

You have received and are expected to sell 10 tickets for $10 each regardless of whether you are able to work at the car wash.

You are expected to return your envelope with $100 cash/checks inside no later than at the car wash on 9/13.

If you do not sell all 10 tickets, return any unsold tickets and cash/checks for what you did sell. If you are unable to work at the car wash, let coach know and coordinate turning in your money with Mr. Putnam.

Don’t wait to start selling. Get started right away. This should be an easy fundraiser for you.

Remember it is ONLY because of fundraisers like this carwash that we can buy uniforms, baseballs, training aids, or possibly take a team trip. Don’t be the player that didn’t give it their all!

Team Building Challenge/Ropes course at Ole Miss

Click here for the online waiver MUST be completed before we leave on the the bus. It should be completed by a parent if player is under 18. Choose “Challenge Course/Teambuilding Session” as the activity type. The group name is MAHS, and participant type is “Other”.

Due to great fundraising efforts, player contribution is only $60 this year, and is payable here.

As of 4/5/25 at 1:45pm, these people have signed the waiver with Ole Miss properly. Make sure you put MAHS as the group name. These waivers MUST be completed by WEDNESDAY at the latest.

Its now time to start gathering business (and personal) sponsorships from our community. Our target is to start selling now and to be paid by February 21 to ensure their name on “Our Sponsors” banner. However, we will accept sponsorships and donations at any time during the season.

The preferred method is to push everyone to madisonmustangs.org/baseball/baseball and tell them to click on “Become a Sponsor”, especially if they want to use a card to make the payment. They can provide all the relevant information we need to be able to recognize them throughout the season. Please push using the website even for companies who want to pay by check. Checks are usually better for the larger amounts due to the bank fees for processing credit cards.
